Ottawa is Canada’s capital city located in located in south eastern Ontario, on the south bank of Ottawa, 400 km east of Toronto and 190 km west of Montreal. It is the sixth largest city by population in Canada with population over 989,657. The size of Ottawa is 4715 square kilometres.

Based on our research, Ottawa population will reach 1,061,160 (around 1.06 million) by end of 2024.The calculation is based on the average growth rate of 0.89% over last twelve years since 2011. We believe using the recent years’ figures (see the table in next section) will make the estimation more accurate. The estimation will adjust once Statistic Canada publishes census data.
